Brock turned four years old today. He's getting too big. I don't know if I can handle it. We had a birthday party for him on Saturday with an Easter egg hunt. Many of our friends and family members came to wish Brock a happy birthday.
Brock is developing an infatuation with the sport of baseball. With Justin coaching him on how to stand and swing, he has spent hours practicing his baseball skills. He doesn't even seem to mind the 100-degree weather! (Yes, it's already that hot here in San Antonio.) Brock loves to help his mom in the kitchen, and he loves to watch t.v. He also likes to "fix" things with his tools, wrestle with his dad and brothers, and ride his bike on the road. Yes, he's a regular old boy, into all the boy things, and growing up too fast! We love our Brock so much!!! Happy birthday, Buddy!
Brock chose to have "Chicken Little" on his birthday cake this year. Brock loves the movie "Chicken Little". Every time he gets ready to swing his baseball bat, he puts a really serious look on his face and mutters, "today is a new day". (For those of you who haven't watched the movie five thousand times yet, that's what Chicken Little says right before he hits a home run and wins the championship game for his baseball team.)
Someone forgot to hire a photographer for Brock's birthday party, so we didn't get any photos of Brock blowing out his Chicken Little candles. We had to do a do-over this evening with a chocolate bundt cake. The only problem was, we put the candles in while the cake was too hot and the candles melted! Here are some photos of Dad holding the candles in his hand while Brock blows them out!
