Sticky & Sweet

Well, it's here again. That glorious time of year. The time that we've all been anticipating with eager excitement. It happens every year at this time. Autumn comes, the leaves begin to change and flutter to the ground, the air grows crisp and cool, October arrives and we all know it's time to kick-start the annual 7-month marathon of sugar-packed holiday festivities. This month is Halloween with its candies, donuts, caramel apples and thickly frosted sugar cookies. Next month comes Thanksgiving with its vast array of pies and obscene amounts of custards, sauces, stuffings and creme-fillings. Then comes Christmas, bringing sugar plums, fruitcake, hot chocolate and whatever other goodness we can dream of, quickly followed by New Year's and Valentine's with chocolate covered strawberries, bon bons and fondue. Then, just when we all thought we'd had quite enough, along comes Easter with its chocolate bunnies, marshmallow peeps and jelly beans galore!!! Is there any doubt that this really is "the most wonderful time of the year...?"
