SUPER SUB(urban)

We've had a lot of snow here the last couple of months. Our long, gravel driveway has been covered with snow and ice, making it impossible to get out with the car or minivan. Fortunately, we have the truck that can make it up the gravel hill in 4-wheel drive. And fortunately, we have just enough seats in the truck to accommodate our family of six, so I can play chauffeur to Justin and the boys, driving them to and from work and school, and still be able to make it to the gym and Wal-Mart during the day. Of course, work and school are clear across town, so it makes for an awful lot of driving back and forth on my part, leaves Justin stuck at the office all day without being able to leave on his lunch break, not to mention that in just 10 short weeks we'll have one too many people in our family to all fit in our trusty Dodge Ram. So, being the efficient problem solver that he is, Justin went right to work finding a solution to our dilemma.

What he found was this SWEET 1999 Suburban, fully equipped with a 4-inch pro suspension lift, 33 inch tires and custom front and back Tuff Country bumpers with Line X coating:


We won't even mention the ridiculous sound system and GIGANTIC speaker box that takes up the entire back of the vehicle. (That's gonna have to go. I can't be having a gigantic speaker box thing taking up all of my grocery and stroller space. Sorry kids, you'll just have to find a way to live without thumping up and down the highway blasting the super sonic bass.) A purely practical family vehicle is what it is. Oh, and I just WISH you could see how agile I look climbing in and out of this thing with my 30-week-pregnant belly and no step to get in and out of the door. It's seriously a circus act performance!!! Oh, and one more thing...the heater doesn't work...not the most ideal characteristic for a vehicle that we bought specifically for getting in and out of an ICED OVER driveway!!! Justin's fairly confident it's an easy enough fix, and bought the part so he can replace it himself. Now he just wishes he had a garage to work in so he doesn't have to stand out in the freezing cold while he stares at engine parts and wires. So there you have it, our new SUPER Suburban.
