Swinging Bridges....
Many people may wonder what kind of things we do "for fun" here in rural Missouri. Well, this morning, we loaded the family into the truck and took a drive across "Swinging Bridges", a wood-planked suspension bridge that crosses the Auglaize Creek.
The bridge was built in 1929 or 1930, starting with a ball of twine to judge the curve and distance, horses or men to pull the wires across, and men and mules to mix cement and haul river gravel and timbers from local farms. Today, this bridge is still driven on by school buses taking kids to school.....SCARY!!!
BIG Spiders...
These are some of the new friends that are adorning our house....just in time for Halloween!!
A New Tooth!!!
Finally....after months of seeing his friends losing and getting teeth, and purposely banging his teeth on the playground equipment to try and knock one loose, Brock has a loose tooth!! (Although it kind of looks to me like he might just be keeping his baby teeth and getting a second row of permanent teeth behind them!)

Congrats Brock!!! It's always exciting to start the getting and loosing tooth process. Shelby's been sporting a toothless grin for half a year at least.
As for the spider . . . that is just awful. The one by our house is at least small. That one just looks freaky.
